The massages:

A massage can be a wonderful and beneficial experience. Below are answers to a number of questions that I have been asked in regards to massage in general, my massage and other practical matters.

What is "massage de relaxation" and "massage de bien-être"?
A massage is therapy of the body where the tensions in the muscles are removed and eased by a massage therapist. It is not a medical treatment and can never replace professional medical treatment. It is purely for well-being and relaxation, which in itself has many health benefits. The name "Massage de relaxation" must be used by non-medical massage therapists in France. "Massage de bien-être" is used by members of the FFMBE.

Does a massage include sexual services?
No. I do not do sexual massage in any manner or form. I am a member of the FFMBE and am not permitted to give such services even if I had the desire. While many sex-workes advertise that they provide massage, this is not a sex-massage. Sex and massage have nothing to do with each other, and I only offer non-sexual massages.

Do I need to undress completely for a massage?
You do not need to. It is all up to you if you want to be completely undressed or keep underwear on. I will leave the room while you undress and get ready, so your privacy is ensured. Draping is available as well, if this is what you are most comfortable with. The most important for a good massage is that you feel completely relaxed and comfortable.

Does my massage benefit from me being completely undressed?
Yes, it does. There are two main reasons. The first is that there will be no clothing in the way to obstruct a flowing harmonious massage. During a session my hands will not leave your body except when you have to turn over. Clothing disrupts the flow, though not severely. The second reason is that the buttocks which are usually covered by underwear have some major muscles groups which benefit greatly from a massage.

What happens during massage session?
A massage is one long session of total relaxation and treatment. I will use music and massage oils and use a massage table. To read a detailed description please visit my article: What to expect from a Massage Créatif.

What can massage help with?

How often should I get a massage?
There is no single answer to this question, since it will all depend on the individual and the life-style led. If there are many stresses to deal with and much muscular tension, then once a week is best. Once a month works well for relaxation and pampering yourself. Giving a regular massage allows me to work with you on ongoing problems and turn the sessions into a journey to bring you well-being and better life quality.

Does my weight influence my massage?
Generally speaking your weight will not affect the quality of the massage. Overweight persons can easily receive a massage that is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing. If you are in doubt, speak to the massage therapist about it.

Does my amount of body hair hinder massage?
The short answer is no. The amount of bodyhair on your body is no hindrance to receiving a massage. The therapist uses creams and oils to make the surface smooth and to avoid tugging hair.

Practical info:

How long does a massage last?
A massage session will either be one hour or one and a half hour. This is the time you get on the table. Undressing, payment and such will be on top of that time. You get a full hours worth. One hour is enough to treat the entire body, but there will not be time to go in depth on all areas. If you have a specific area that needs attention, let me know and I can plan the session to fit your needs. A one and a half hours massage gives time enough to give a throrough complete treatment of the entire body.

How much time to you schedule for a massage?
I schedule with plenty of time. For an one hour massage I schedule 1½ hours. This will give you time to relax a bit before the massage, ask your questions and get ready. After the massage I will offer a glass of water and am here to talk with you if you want. For an 1½ hours massage I schedule 2 hours. There is plenty of time.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash and cheque for the time being.

Where does a massage session take place?
I offer massages at my location in a warm room prepared for the massage with table, candles, essential oils and soft music. It is an enviroment created to make you feel comfortable and make you completely relax.

Will you come to my place?
Yes, I do housecalls for an extra fee. See Prices for further information.

What is needed for a massage at my place?
Not much is needed as I will bring table, music and massage oils. A warm undisturbed room with room for the table and to walk around it is necessary. My workspace is comparable to the room a doublebed takes up. A soundsystem is preferable if you wish for music during the massage. Also, I would ask that you provide a sheet to lie on as well as a small towel and a large towel to cover you with after the massage. The rest is up to you.

What sort of music do you play during a massage?
The music is varied, though soft and relaxing. I have different playlists and albums I use. You are always welcome to bring your own music or ask specifically for something you would like. If you do not want any music, just let me know and I will accommodate you.

What sort of massage oils do you use?
I use my own completely natural massage oils. I buy my own carrier oils and essential oils and create my own blends. I use the best quality oils and order them from Denmark from a trusted supplier (Urtegaarden) who has provided me with oils for over a decade now. My prefered carrier is safflower oil which is light and easily absorbed by the skin. I also use almond oil and coconut oil at times.

Do you use Aromatherapy?
Yes, I use essential oils during the massages, both for the massage oil and in an infuser to create the right mood. I have a number of pre-mixed blends ready and when you lie on the table, I determine which blend would suit you. The better I know you, the easier it is for me to pick the best blend for you. You can also request that I make a blend specifically for you, where I with your input will create a personal massage oil for an extra fee.

I have allergy, should you know?
Yes, I should be informed of allergies you might have, especially if it is to fragrances, nuts, candles and oils. I use essential oils, carrier oils and candles during my massage. So if you are allergic to any of these things, I must know so I can ensure I don't expose you to them.

I have medical conditions, should you know?
If you have any medical conditions it is essential that I am told. Whereas I will gladly give a massage if you have caught a cold, I will not massage anyone with serious health issues, this includes fever. If you are sick, you should wait till it has passed before receiving a massage.

I am pregnant, should you know?
Yes, I must be informed if you are pregnant. You should not receive any massages during the first months of the pregnancy. After that a massage can be very beneficial, but if there are any complications, you should go to a massage therapist especially educated in pregnancy massage.
